How Greyton got his name...

I've been asked by many people through the years how Greyton got his name. Seven years ago when we first saw him at the House Rabbit Society shelter, the name this graychubby bunny came with was Lloyd. We just thought that wasn't the right name for him.

We had planned to travel to upstate NY and pick him up upon our return a week later. So throughout that trip long ago, Mrs. Pratt and I brainstormed as to what to call the new bunny. On and off we'd discuss it.

As we approached the Bully Hill winery, again we were discussing what a new name for Lloyd should be. And we came to this road where we were supposed to turn for the winery. Greyton H. Taylor was the father of the Bully Hill winery owner,Walter. But Mrs. Pratt and I looked at each after reading that name on the street sign. We both knew that from that day forward the new bunny would be called Greyton. Yes, he was grey and weighed a ton, but it kind was a dignified name for the lop earred fellow. And the rest is history...
